So, we all know that Frosty the Snowman has graced his presence over pretty much the whole United States. Yes, it's even freezing here in Texas...not all day, but yesterday morning it was 25 degrees. I know that's like a walk along the beach for some of you. I stopped counting how many posts I saw on Instagram with pictures of temperatures, bundled clothing, snow and people dreading to step out the front door. I feel for you guys that live where the climate is in the negatives. Any of you are welcome to move here anytime. We are known as "The Friendly State" and would love to have you!
In other news, well sort of, I finally skipped out on posting or wearing a shade red or leopard today, but not the fur. I needed a change and thought that adding a pop of bright pink was my ticket to being a tad bit closer to warmer weather. Maybe the pink didn't keep me toasty, but layering this fur vest over a leather coat did the trick. By the way, this is fun way to give your fur a little more attention when coats and jackets are involved. Don't hide your pretty, furry friend, wear it over your outerwear instead.
Thank you for all the tweets, pins and comments from yesterday's post. I am hoping to share more tips, tricks and helpful hints when it comes to blogging in 2014. It's fun to share and bounce ideas off of one another. That's what the blogging community is all about. I do have one small update. I told you guys that PicMonkey was $5.00 per year. Oooops, I was wrong. It's $5.00 per month, but still 100% worth the money if you edit pictures on the daily. Sorry for the mishap.
In the random world...
1. We visited Gus last weekend. We dropped him off a week ago for bird dog hunting school. I miss him terribly. Kinda crazy considering the fact that I didn't even want him in the first place. It's pretty phenomenal how these little creatures can weasel their way into your heart. He seems to be happy and is well on his way to "pointing" at the quail. I just want my snuggle bug back. Seven weeks to go. At least I didn't curl in a corner and cry for hours when we left him again. Progress. Right?
2. My girls headed back to school yesterday after two full weeks of holiday vacation. Let me just say that 5:45 AM hit me like a ton of bricks, but I didn't crawl back into bed after they left. Again, progress. It was actually quite refreshing to have a few extra hours to get things done during the day because the last few weeks we lost a couple...as in we weren't getting out of bed until 9:00 AM.
3. Last, but definitely not least, my eldest daughter has fed us not once, not twice, not thrice, but quadruple times this season. She has brought home two turkeys, one doe and three hogs. I have asked this before and I will kindly ask again, please refrain from rude comments if hunting game isn't your thing. I am so proud of Logan's dedication these past few months. We have prepared everything she has brought home. Who could ask for anything better than grass/corn fed meat...that is if you eat meat. I understand it's not for everyone, but I had to show her off. It's my job as a mom. She is the real deal and continues to blow mind. I, for one, couldn't personally do it.

That was quite a bit of random, but I had to make up for lost time. Thanks for sticking around, if you actually read all of that. See y'all tomorrow!
