I have been hinting around since last week about a collaboration I was personally invited to participate in with Nordstrom. I have been chomping at the bits to share all the details with you and today is the day.
I am asking for your help and support because in case you missed the title, this is a Fashion Face-Off, meaning a competition. If you like the final results of my look (fingers crossed you do), please take 1.2 seconds to vote for me here https://houston.youphoriafashion.com/.
Nordstrom is currently promoting, across the country, a YOUphoria Fashion Face-Off campaign. I am still pinching myself that I was asked to join in on the celebrations, but grateful and humbled nonetheless.

My mission, with the help of a Nordstrom personal stylist and a shopping budget gifted by the reatiler, was to create a head-to-toe look that suited my personal style and represented current trends that were at the top of my wish list.
Walking into the three-story store at the Houston Galleria had my heart pounding. I was riding the escalator up to the third floor asking myself how in the world would I ever be able to choose one look from all this amazingness? Luckily, my appointed stylist took me by the hand after a handshake and a hug. We briefly discussed my style, what my blog was all about and how I wanted to stay true to my personality and what you ladies were accustomed to seeing and reading.
We headed straight to the Nordstrom Savvy section and immediately found "the" piece that we would style the entire outfit around, a leather skater skirt. This was exactly what I had in mind when brainstorming during my three hour long drive from Austin to Houston. I wanted to create an edgy, yet feminine look. We had the best time playing dress up. I am not sure how thrilled the team was after I left because it looked like a hurricane blew through my dressing room.

We picked up a few other pieces and styled three additional
looks that I equally loved. It was definitely a hard decision deciding
on the final style.

After the final pieces were chosen, I headed to the cosmetics department for a make over. My beauty advisor was top notch and gave me so many tips and tricks that I have already added to my daily routine. I told her thank you at least a dozen times and begged her to come home with me. She kindly declined, but said I could come back and play anytime.

Before I share the big finale, I must give a huge shout out to the Houston Galleria Nordstrom team. These ladies (and photographer) made my experience one to remember. I made four new friends that really did have my best interest in mind. They were so kind, welcoming and their talents were stellar. I couldn't have wished for a better group to work with.

And, here it is, the final look. I am over the moon with the entire ensemble. It fits my style and personality perfectly. A little bit of leather, lace, pop of red and shoes that I have been lusting over for months. I still cannot believe these Vince heels are on my feet. Who in the world would have ever imagined? Not this girl. I am truly blessed and have all of you to thank for where this blog has taken me over the last year or so. The opportunities that have come my way are because of the support I have from each and every one of you. Without my readers, I would not have the memories and experiences that will forever be engrained. So, again thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget how I started and who got me to where I am today.
