I am officially on vacation and headed to California to spend the next few days with family, friends, beach time, sightseeing and hugging Mickey Mouse! I have some fabulous style blogger friends lined up for you. I have become close to each one of them and absolutely adore their style. And let me just say, the ladies you will be meeting over the next few days are way more than just style bloggers. They are all women you can relate to, are as genuine as they come and have hearts of gold.
Today, I am super pumped to introduce you to Laura with Walking in Memphis in High Heels. She has been blogging for less than a year and already has it down pat. It has been so much fun to watch her grow. She is one of the most personable bloggers I have met and cherishes each and every one of her reader friends. It doesn't hurt that she is also drop dead gorgeous with impeccable taste. I can assure you that once you visit Laura, you will be stopping by on the daily for a dose of real life and style.

Hi, I'm Laura, and I blog over at Walking in Memphis in High Heels. I'm so excited to be guest posting for Shanna while she is out of town. Hope you're having a great time, Shanna!
My main focus on my blog is fashion...hence the walking in high heels, but I also occasionally post about my day to day life including my husband, 2 Yorkies and fitness. I originally started my blog 7 months ago to share good deals I scored while shopping and to try to experiment by adding fun, trendy pieces to my basic, dressy wardrobe, all while trying to make most of these pieces somehow work for my corporate office dress code.
I tend to like girly, dressy pieces that are colorful but have a modern feel to them. Having broad shoulders and only being 5"2, I have learned that A-line, flouncy, skater style skirts that hit above the knee are best for my shape.
Besides making great friends and finding great deals that other bloggers have shared, learning to step outside of the box and experiment to find what works best for my body type has been some of the best knowledge I've gained so far. I have also learned that I love color, pattern mixing with a soft spot for neon. I have invested in a lot of this style of skirt this year. They can be dressed up or down, and can even be worn high-waisted for a more slimming look.
Below are a few of my favorite summer skirts I've worn. You can also view more of my outfits here on Instagram. Thanks for stopping by and reading today, and I would love it if you would stop by my blog and say hello if you get the chance.
Which one of these looks is your favorite? Do you like this style of skirt for summer?
