A Little Crush

Surprise. Surprise. I decided to throw in a few beautification tips for my ladies today. I am not sure why I don't post much about what types of cosmetics I wear. Believe me when I say I have a pretty embarrassing, unorganized stash piled in a few bags.

I know most of you all know about the cosmetic line, e.l.f. (eyes lips face). It's been around for a few years. I actually remember first hearing about it and thought, makeup for a dollar? Uh, thanks, but no thanks. There is no possible way that an eyeliner that costs less than a Diet Dr. Pepper could do me any good. Right? Wrong.

When Target started carrying e.l.f., I was sold. I mean, Target is legit and we all want everything on every aisle in the store. Can I get an amen? So, I slowly started to pick up a lip gloss here, an eyeliner there and before I knew it my e.l.f. crush became a full blown love affair.

There are tons of other products I have yet to try, but below are a handful of the ones I swear by and will continue to use. It saves a ton of money and in my opinion they are just as good, if not better than the higher end products sold at Sephora and Ulta.

I am not going to go into details about each individual product. I will, however, chat about four that you need to add to your daily makeup routine stat.

Eyeliner - This bad boy lasts all day. It's a pen, so it's super easy to use and glides right on. It lasts a few months and comes in eight different colors. I use black and coffee. Cost: $2.00

Blush - This is almost identical to the coveted NARS brand. It's highly pigmented and is another one that lasts all day. I use Fuchsia Fusion which has a slight touch of glitter sparkle. The sparkle part sold me. Cost: $3.00

High Definition Powder - I used the Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder for years. Then I found out that e.l.f. sold one too. It's just as good as the more expensive brands. I put it on with the e.l.f. kabuki brush (pictured above) after my foundation for a flawless, photo finish look. Cost: $6.00

Lip Exfoliator - This is new from e.l.f. and I randomly stumbled upon during my last haul at Target. It is AWESOME! Perfect for removing rough/chapped skin off your lips and leaves you with a smooth lipstick ready pout. It tastes really yummy too! Cost: $5.00

Have you tried any e.l.f. products? If so, what should I add to my collection next?

P.S. There are THREE pretty fab giveaways going on right now. Here, here and here. Make sure to enter.

P.P.S. It's my birthday month. So, all ad space is 15% off for the month of May. Use the code BIRTHDAY at checkout.

*This is NOT a sponsored post. All opinions and statements are my own and I am not receiving anything in return from e.l.f. cosmetics.
